RSU to Present Senior Art Exhibition April 29 through May 6

The artwork of 19 seniors who will earn bachelor’s degrees in fine arts will be exhibited from Friday, April 29, through Friday, May 6, at Rogers State University.

The annual Senior Capstone Art Exhibition, which is free and open to the public, will be presented in the art gallery in Baird Hall on the RSU campus in Claremore.

The exhibition is part of the second annual Art on the Hill Festival, to be held Friday and Saturday, April 29-30, on the RSU campus.

A reception will be held for the exhibition from 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 29. The public is invited to attend.

Seniors will exhibit their final art projects in the exhibition, the “capstone,” or culmination of four years of arts education at RSU.

“We are pleased to share the best artwork by our seniors with the public in this exhibition,” said Gary Moeller, RSU art professor. “This will be an opportunity for the public to view student artwork, while enjoying the Art on the Hill festival on the RSU campus.”

The senior capstone exhibition is an annual tradition at RSU, signifying the end of the academic year, Moeller said.

The exhibition will include art in a variety of media, including paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography, installations and more, he said.
