The Associate in Science in Physical Science degree consists of general education curriculum and courses supporting other departmental programs.

In support of the mission of the University, the school, and the department, the degree seeks to provide a solid general education component for all University students, provide curriculum in the physical sciences for students who are preparing for a baccalaureate-granting program, and provide programA.S. Degree Plan 20-21 (pdf)s of study to students presently in the workforce, allowing them the opportunity to continue their education.

Student Learning Outcomes:

  1. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of basic physical science principles and their applications.
  2. Apply problem solving skills through critical thinking and the scientific method.
  3. Explain and predict quantitative, analytical and graphical situations.
  4. Design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data.

Department Mission: The mission of the Department of Mathematics and Physical Sciences at Rogers State University is to support students in their pursuit of knowledge in mathematics and physical science.
