Students and parents will use 2016 income and tax information and are encouraged to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) when completing the FAFSA. Enhanced security measures put in place will limit the information displayed when transferring data from the IRS to the FAFSA. Be aware of state grant deadlines. Eligibility for some state grants is determined by the date of FAFSA filing, so file early.

Our mission is to enable students to pursue their educational goals through the application of appropriate financial resources relevant to each student’s eligibility and individual need.
The federal government regulates the application process for students seeking aid. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be completed in order to qualify for any financial assistance.
Students receiving assistance from outside or non-RSU sources should bring their award notification from the outside source to the RSU Office of Financial Aid.
