RSU Raises Funds for Big Brothers, Big Sisters

Rogers State University students, faculty and staff members recently raised more than $5,000 for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Rogers County.

Six teams from RSU participated in Bowl for Kids’ Sake, an annual fundraising event for the organization.

RSU’s Office of Enrollment Management raised more than half of RSU’s totals. The department’s two teams, “Big Bang Bowlers” and “Gutterballs,” collectively raised $3,200 and easily won the RSU Golden Pin Challenge that recognizes the office with the highest fundraising total.

Members of the RSU administration joined approximately 30 RSU students, faculty and staff at the event, held March 25 at The Lanes at Coffee Creek in Owasso.

RSU has annually participated in the event as part of the university’s mission of community service and outreach.

Those who participated or donated toward the cause are invited to attend the Bowl For Kids’ Sake wrap up celebration at noon on April 30 at the Claremore Northeast Technology Center.
