The Rogers State University Jazz Band will perform at the Tulsa International Mayfest at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 17.
“It is a great honor to be invited to perform at the festival,” said Joe Cernuto, RSU Jazz Band director. “This invitation is indicative of the great strides the band has made in the past three years. Our students have worked very hard to get to this level and we are proud to perform at Mayfest.”
The RSU Jazz Band will perform at the stage at Fourth St. and Boston Ave. The concert, and all Mayfest events, are free and open to the public. The festival will be held from Thursday, May 14, to Sunday, May 17.
Mayfest is an annual art and music festival held in various venues in downtown Tulsa. This year the festival features more than 75 musical acts, including country music groups, steel bands, local rock groups and jazz artists. The festival also features over 120 local and national artists displaying and selling art. Food and beverage vendors also are on hand, along with a KidZone.
