Fans Can Be a Part of History at Thursday’s RSU Basketball Games

Fans attending the Thursday night basketball games at Rogers State University will be a part of history for multiple reasons, including the unveiling of a new RSU Fight Song.

When the Hillcats face off with Southern Nazarene University at the Claremore Expo Center, RSU also will be celebrating Senior Night. Tipoff for the women’s game is at 6 p.m. The men are scheduled to start at 8 p.m.

RSU held a contest asking members of the campus community to write lyrics for a new fight song. The winning submission was written by RSU employee Yvonne Pace.

The song will be debuted during the intermissions between the men’s and women’s games, following the Senior Night festivities.

Pace wins a $250 gift card to Barnes and Noble and will be credited on all future printings of the RSU Fight Song. The lyrics will be set to the music of the Oklahoma Military Academy March, a nod to RSU’s heritage.
