Understanding the cost of college at RSU is easy, thanks to our block rate tuition rates and clear breakdown of fees being included. Block rate tuition makes paying for college simple for students taking 12 or more credit hours. You will be billed at the designated rate below per semester for tuition and mandatory fees. Please note that adult degree completion courses are not included in the block rate tuition.

Cost of College Housing

One of the most exciting parts of the college experience is living on campus alongside your peers. When paying for college, it’s vital to think about what kind of housing you are looking for and how much it will cost.

Regardless of whether you are paying in-state tuition or are a nonresident, the cost of college housing is the same at RSU.

We want to make paying for college housing as simple as possible. That’s why your rent will include high-speed internet access and all utilities. All housing prices are provided with additional options within the price range.

As you think about how to pay for college housing, keep in mind that a $200 housing deposit is required and cannot be covered by scholarships. Additionally, all residents will incur cleaning and laundry fees. If you live in University Village facilities, you must purchase a meal plan —which can be used in the Hillcat Cafe or Chapman Dining Hall.

Cost of College Meal Plans

Another thing to keep in mind when thinking about the cost of attendance at RSU is paying for meals on campus. As with the cost of college housing, meal plans are the same for nonresidents and students paying in-state tuition.

If you are a commuting student worrying about paying for college meals, no need to stress—thanks to our commuter meal plans. The cost of college meal plans for commuters depends on which option you choose.

Books and Supplies

The cost of attendance at RSU also includes the cost of college textbooks and the supplies for your courses. The cost of college supplies for you will greatly depend on your courses and major.

To help you plan how to pay for college materials, we suggest budgeting between $1,050 and $1,200.

Failure to receive a statement will not exempt a student from penalties. It is the student’s responsibility to determine his/her financial obligation and how it is to be met. Statements are available on the MyRSU portal and can be emailed to student email accounts upon request.
