RSU Angel Tree Collects Gifts for Claremore Children

The Rogers State University Biology Club worked with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services Claremore office to collect Christmas presents for area children this holiday season.

Tim England, RSU student and Biology Club president, worked with DHS to create a campus Angel Tree listing children and their holiday wishes. RSU students, faculty and staff “adopted” angels from the tree and purchased gifts or donated money to the program. Students from the RSU Biology Club wrapped all the donated toys, clothes and books.

The RSU Angel Tree program helped nearly 60 Claremore children this year and each child received several gifts.

Recently RSU student, Tye Miles, dressed as Santa Claus to distribute the presents to children at the Claremore DHS office.
