The Rogers State Jazz Band will perform its final concert of the year at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29, in the historic Will Rogers Auditorium.
The program consists of great standard Jazz music, blues, and Rock and Roll.
Also featured will be works by the great Count Basie orchestra arranger Sammy Nestico and an arrangement of George Gershwin’s great tune “Strike Up the Band.”
RSU Senior Nic Pranger will be featured in the classic “Foolish Heart.” In addition, the band will perform an original blues composition entitled “Hillcat Blues” that features improvisation by many of the RSU band members.
Admission for the event is free and donations to the RSU Jazz Band will be accepted.
