Rogers State University is committed to obtaining private support for the enhancement of our faculty. Our ability to continually improve the resources we offer our students and faculty is paramount to the level of educational quality.

The goal of the Endowed Chair Program is to raise $5 million – $2.5 million in private funds, matched dollar for dollar by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education – to establish 10 distinguished endowed chairs at the university.

Each distinguished endowed chair requires a private investment of $250,000 that is matched by the Oklahoma State Regents Endowment Trust Fund.

Interest income from the endowed chairs is instrumental in helping attract and retain prominent faculty members who are renowned in their fields of study. The presence of these highly regarded scholars will significantly enhance the educational experience for our students.

Competition for the best and brightest university faculty is intense nationwide. Not unlike the business community, which is committed to recruiting and retaining qualified, dedicated, and creative employees, RSU is committed to developing a faculty with stellar credentials.

This matching program is an excellent way for you or your organization to maximize your investment, establish a meaningful legacy, and support the academic program of your choice.

Faculty chairs can be endowed in any of the university’s degree program areas in the School of Business and Technology, the School of Liberal Arts, and the School of Mathematics, Science, and Health Sciences. If you are interested in specifying a particular field of study in one of these areas, we welcome the opportunity to discuss the possibilities.

Companies, foundations, individuals, or a combination of entities, can become partners in the establishment of endowed chair positions. Rogers State University welcomes the opportunity to work with contributors to ensure their gift allows maximum impact for students and faculty. RSU also will work with you to establish specific criteria for an endowed gift and a timeline for gift fulfillment.

To recognize your commitment, each endowed chair will provide a commemorative naming opportunity. Endowed chairs can be named in honor or memory of an individual or company. In addition to paying tribute to this generosity with a named endowment, Rogers State University also will honor endowed chair gifts with a special presentation showcasing your commitment to the university.

A gift of cash, stocks, notes or real estate in the amount or value of at least $250,000 will establish a permanently funded endowed chair. If the full amount is not immediately available, funding may be extended for years as determined by the donor in coordination with the RSU Foundation.
