‘Works from the Studio’ art exhibit opens Thursday, Oct. 27

Bayliegh Fields’s graphite “Julianna,” Julianna Spencer’s oil on canvas “Reflection,” and Yan Mendez-Monjardim’s watercolor “The Scholars” will be among the works on display during the “Works from the Studio” exhibit in the Gary Moeller Gallery of the Arts at Rogers State University.

 

Rogers State University Professor Blake Walinder’s advanced studio class will be presenting their first group gallery exhibition Thursday, Oct. 27, at 5 p.m. Wallinder is an assistant professor of fine arts.

The “Works from the Studio” exhibit will feature pieces from students Bayliegh Fields, Juliana Spencer and Yan Mendez-Monjardim. This exhibit includes preliminary studies which document the artmaking process. Each student will showcase their range of work through various mediums including photography and other various studio mediums.

“Works From the Studio” will be on display in the Gary Moeller Gallery of the Arts in Baird Hall until Nov. 11. The art gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
