RSU’s Psi Chi International Honor Society inducts 26 New Members

Rogers State University’s Psi Chi chapter inducted 26 new students into the international honor society in an induction ceremony held April 25, 2024.

Psi Chi is a college student honor society in psychology with international outreach, emphasizing the importance of excellence in scholarship, active service in the community and social engagement with other members in the field of psychology.

All members of Psi Chi must maintain a GPA of 3.25 in psychology and related courses.

Organized by Psi Chi advisors Dr. Sara K. Moon-Seo, assistant professor of psychology and sociology, and Dr. Donna Sharp, assistant professor of psychology and sociology, the induction ceremony featured Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, Accountability and Academics Dr. Mary Millikin as guest speaker, with Justin Rogers speaking about his experience as a member and officer of Psi Chi.

Dr. Brian Andrews, department head and associate professor of psychology and sociology, and Dr. Michelle Taylor, director of the Master of Science in community counseling program, helped install MSCC Psi Chi students.

Undergraduate inductees included Bailie Binder of Locust Grove, Isaac Dean of Meeker, Jennifer PiDeckard of Claremore, Cambrey Harrison of Cushing, Jarreka Hurt of Claremore, Christina Jackson of Bartlesville, Trevor Jackson of Claremore, Jennifer Kemp-Cahill of Eucha, Tristian Kersker of Pryor, Halley Kuster of Claremore, Sophia McCarty, Bryan (Duy) Pham of Vietnam, Sophia Rogers of Oklahoma City, Jade Sanders of Stonewall, Cegon Shoeleh of Skiatook, Zion Solomon of Broken Arrow, Kathryn Stephens of Tulsa, Micaiah Stowe of Skiatook, and Ryanne Wolff of Rogers, Arkansas.

Graduate student inductees included Kimberly Bump of Inola, Shannon Fair of Claremore, Samara Hamby of Claremore, Jamelle King of Claremore, Arissa Miller of Collinsville, and Mariah Nadeau of Claremore.

Dr. Donna Sharp was also inducted.
