Rogers State University’s 2023 commencement ceremonies have been scheduled for Saturday, May 13, at the Claremore Expo Center.

The morning ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. for those graduating from RSU’s School of Professional Studies, and the afternoon ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m. for those graduating from the School of Arts and Sciences, Cameron University, the Honors program and President’s Leadership Class.

Graduates should be in line inside the Expo no later than 45 minutes prior to the start of their ceremony.

Students to graduate in the upcoming commencement ceremonies are strongly encouraged to attend the upcoming Commencement Countdown event, to be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, March 30, in the Dr. Carolyn Taylor Center rotunda.

This optional come-and-go event is designed to prepare associate, bachelor’s and master’s degree candidates for graduation, with the opportunity to purchase commencement supplies such as cap and gown and other commencement regalia, invitations and more. Numerous campus departments and vendors will be on site to offer relevant information to graduates.

RSU will allot a limited number of tickets to each qualified graduate. The tickets are free and provide admission to the Claremore Expo Center for those attending the ceremonies. Tickets are not required for participating graduates. Tickets for children ages two and under also will not be required, provided those children sit on their parent or guardian’s lap.

Additionally, tickets will not be required to attend the Nursing Pinning Ceremony, to be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, May 12, at First Baptist Church in Claremore.

Ticket distribution will be available April 17-28 at the following times and locations:

  • Claremore: Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Meyer Hall
  • Bartlesville and Pryor: Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., main office

Students will be required to present their RSU student ID to claim their ticket allotment.

Students unable to pick up their tickets in person should contact Julia Poole at [email protected] or call 918-343-7615.

Students have until April 28 to claim their ticket allotment before unclaimed tickets are redistributed among students needing additional seats on a first come, first serve basis beginning the following Monday, May 1.

The university will provide a livestream of both commencement ceremonies for those unable to attend in person.

Ticket allotment updates and further details regarding commencement will be announced as they become available.
