RSU VP Named Chair for National Committee on Student-Athletes

Dr. Brent Marsh, Vice President for Student Affairs for Rogers State University, has been named as a committee chair for a national group that equips higher educational professionals to enhance the student experience.

Marsh will lead the Student-Athlete Knowledge Community for NASPA, Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, an organization that serves as a resource for leadership, scholarship, professional development and advocacy for student affairs.

The Student-Athlete Knowledge Community represents a working group within the organization that explores partnerships among athletics, student affairs and other campus entities to enhance the well-being of all students, including student-athletes.

Marsh, who has been a member of NASPA since 1998, has been serving the knowledge committee as the representative for Region IV-West. He will serve as chair for a two-year term.

Prior to his arrival at RSU, Marsh oversaw the athletic department for four years while serving as the Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students at Howard Payne University in Texas. He also studied athletic administration while earning his doctorate in higher education administration at Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
