RSU to Offer Students and Families Guidance in Applying for Financial Aid

Students and their parents can receive one-on-one assistance in applying for financial aid and planning for college at “College Goal Sunday” on Sunday, Feb. 19, at Rogers State University.

The free event will be held from 2-4 p.m. on the second floor of Markham Hall on the RSU campus in Claremore.

In a single afternoon, students and their families can become familiar with RSU application and admission requirements, learn about planning for college and obtain on-site assistance in filling out financial aid application forms, including the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). (Those interested in this service should bring their latest tax information to the event.) Financial aid advisers will be available to meet individually with students and their parents.

“College Goal Sunday makes it easy and enjoyable for students and parents to learn about useful resources that can make attending college more affordable,” said Lindsay Fields, RSU director of enrollment management.

Registration for the event is encouraged, but not required. To register or obtain more information on attending College Goal Sunday, or to find more information on the wide variety of financial aid and scholarship opportunities available to students at RSU, call the RSU Office of Financial Aid at (918) 343-7553.
