RSU To Host Oct. 6 ‘Bent Not Broken’ Benefit Concert

Rogers State University will host an Oct. 6 benefit concert and variety show with proceeds going to support the American Red Cross hurricane relief efforts.

The event, titled “Bent Not Broken,” will begin at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 6, at the Will Rogers Auditorium on RSU’s Claremore campus. Admission to the show is free with a monetary donation to the Red Cross’s hurricane relief fund.

Scheduled to perform are: children from the RSU Child Development Center; Monika Jones, KOTV’s “Gimme The Mic” contest winner; the Red Stripes; Canary; Streetz dance group; Joyce, Tamanika and Tiera; Claremore High School choir; the Mt. Zion Baptist Church singers; and UGC.

The show is being organized by the American Red Cross Corps of RSU and the Association of Black Collegians. Additional sponsors include RSU Food Services, Steel Fox Sound, Chili’s, and Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU).
