RSU to Host Business, Technology and Sport Management Industry Day

Rogers State University will host the second annual Business, Technology and Sport Management Industry Day on Wednesday, November 14 on its Claremore campus. RSU’s School of Business and Technology, Career Services and the Innovation Center are partnering to offer the event.

The day will begin with a career, internship and graduate school fair from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. in Herrington Hall. The event is open to students and alumni of all majors but will primarily showcase organizations that offer careers, internships and graduate programs in the fields of business, technology and sport management. Job seekers will have an opportunity to connect with employers and learn about graduate programs to advance in their careers.

Following the career fair, the RSU Innovation Center will host the annual Global Entrepreneur Week Luncheon and Networking Dessert from noon – 1:15 p.m. in the Centennial Center Ballroom. Dr. William Paiva of Seven Rose Funds will give a keynote speech entitled “Execution – the Discipline of Getting Things Done” which explores the difference between an entrepreneur and a dreamer. The lunch is free for the first 75 students. To RSVP, students should e-mail [email protected] by Tuesday, November 6.

Some employers will close the day by offering on-campus interviews from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the Student Affairs suite on the second floor of the Centennial Center. Employers will schedule interviews during the morning career fair.

To help students prepare for the event, Career Services will offer ‘How to Prepare for a Career Fair” on Thursday, November 1 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. in Centennial Center conference room A.
