Rogers State University’s online bachelor degrees in both applied technology and business information technology have been ranked among the nation’s Top 10 Most Affordable Online Bachelor’s Degrees in Computer Science by GetEducated.com.
The applied technology and business information technology online degrees were ranked 8th and 10th respectively in GetEducated.com’s national survey of online computer science degrees.
The report, released on Aug. 21, noted RSU’s online degree programs in computer science were about 40 percent less expensive than the national average, which is just under $50,000.
This is not the first time the firm has recognized RSU’s online degrees, as it honored RSU’s organizational leadership and business administration bachelor degree programs, ranking them 6th and 12th respectively for affordability among online programs in 2011.
RSU offers five bachelor degrees completely via the internet through its RSU Online program, including applied technology, business administration, organizational leadership and business information technology, with options in software development and multimedia and computer network administration.
RSU Online also offers a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and associate degrees in applied technology, business administration, liberal arts and computer science. RSU Online programs are open for enrollment for Oklahoma residents who meet the university’s admission criteria.
“RSU is committed to providing affordable online classes and degree programs that meet the needs of today’s working adult,” said RSU President Dr. Larry Rice. “Our online offerings provide a great way to take a class or complete a degree when time or distance doesn’t allow a student to enroll in a traditional on-ground class. The recent results from GetEducated.com show independent assessment about the value of an RSU education.”
In addition to its affordable degree offerings, RSU works with students to develop financial aid packages that best meet their individual needs.
