RSU Named Oklahoma’s Safest College Campus

Rogers State University was ranked the safest college campus in Oklahoma and 13th safest campus in the nation, according to a new ranking released by the National Council for Home Safety and Security.

The organization ranked 490 of the nation’s largest schools based on crime data submitted to the FBI, as well as similar data for the areas surrounding campuses.

The university maintains a campus police department staffed by commissioned peace officers who meet the standards of the Oklahoma Council for Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET).

In addition, the university has on-going programs in place to help faculty and staff identify potential threats early in order to maintain a safe environment for all students and campus visitors.
