RSU Innovation Center to Host Franchising Workshop in Claremore

The Innovation Center at Rogers State University in Claremore is hosting a workshop so attendees can learn more about the franchise industry.

The workshop, “Franchising:  An Alternative Method to Starting Your Own Business,” is scheduled on Thursday, December 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the RSU Innovation Center on the Claremore Campus.

The workshop will be presented by Rob Firestone who oversees the operations of Bluestem Resources Affiliated Group as both a principal and general manager.

In addition to brokerage Firestone remains involved in other ventures and business interests.  He first entered business brokerage in 1986 and is the founder of Oklahoma Business Brokers and Oklahoma Commercial Realty. He works with both private and institutional clients and investors relating to business sales, and mergers and acquisitions.

Firestone serves on the Board of Directors of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) with nearly 2,000 members, and is chairman of the M&A Source, an association of 300 professional intermediaries committed to mergers and acquisitions of middle market companies representing transactions valued from $2 million to $100 Million.

During workshop, Firestone will help attendees assess whether or not franchising is right for them.  He will provide participants with an overview of the franchise industry, discuss legal aspects, industry trends, financing franchise businesses and options available to those looking to start their own businesses.
