Rogers State University’s Offices of Student Affairs and Admissions, along with the Athletics Department, will host Family Day on Friday, Oct. 29. Family Day is free and open to the public with events beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will host a tailgate party and trunk-or-treat from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the University Village B south parking lot.  Free food and drinks will be available for all participants.

“RSU Athletics looks forward to partnering with the entire campus community to provide a safe and fun trunk-or-treat experience for the Claremore community,” Sara Braun, senior woman administrator and associate athletic director for external operations, said. “We will showcase the hill, pass out lots of candy, and we encourage families to stay and cheer on our women’s soccer team as they host Northwestern State.”

The women’s soccer team takes the field at 6:30 p.m. During halftime, the kids Halloween costume contest will take place, as well as the presentation of RSU’s honorary family.

“RSU is Claremore’s hometown university. We will honor a family, who through their school and community involvement, demonstrate the Hillcat spirit and passion for learning,” Jeana Rae Conn, director of student conduct and development / title IX coordinator, said.

Following the game RSU’s haunted house event, Haunting on the Hill, will begin at 8 p.m. in Prepatory Hall. Children of all ages are welcome.

“RSU’s Campus Activities Team has been hard at work planning our annual one-day haunted house. The three-story haunted house in the historic Prep Hall is sure to give participants a thrill. We look forward to partnering with the community for some spooky Halloween fun,” Katie Warnick, student activities coordinator, said.
