RSU Criminal Justice Society Hosts ‘RSU Coffee With a Cop’

Members of Rogers State University’s Criminal Justice Society (CJS) hosted members of the Claremore Police Department, Rogers County Sheriff’s Office, and more than a dozen other law enforcement agencies at the “Coffee with a Cop” event March 13 in the Dr. Carolyn Taylor Center on the RSU campus in Claremore.

Officers from the Noble Police Department, Bartlesville Police Department, Broken Arrow Police Department, Jenks Police Department, and others shared coffee and doughnuts with RSU CJS members, faculty and staff for an informal get-together that allowed law officers to meet community members for discussion and fellowship.

RSU’s Criminal Justice Society is a student organization which promotes academic excellence to make those who work within the criminal justice system more effective and ethical. The group meets at 4 p.m. on Tuesdays in Room 129 in Herrington Hall on the RSU campus in Claremore.
