RSU’s Criminal Justice Society members and officers recently hosted members of the Claremore Police Department and other law enforcement agencies for the “Coffee with a Cop” event Oct. 4. More than 20 area law enforcement officers shared coffee and doughnuts with RSU CJS students, faculty and staff in an informal get-together that allowed law officers to meet members of the community they serve for discussion and to get to know one another.
RSU’s Criminal Justice Society is a student organization that promotes academic excellence in order to make those who work within the criminal justice system more effective. The group is open to students interested in criminal justice and meets at 4 p.m. on Tuesdays in Herrington Hall, Room 129.
