The RSU Fishing Team Duo of Ty Crutchfield, Inola, and Alec Murphy, Claremore, head to Grove Oklahoma today through March 5 for the 2021 Abu Garcia College Fishing presented by YETI National Championship presented by Lowrance at Grand Lake!

The 12th annual College Fishing Championship, hosted by the Grove Convention and Tourism Bureau. The winning team will advance to the 2021 Toyota Series Championship to compete for a top prize of #235,000.

Ty was quoted in a article from KOAM News Now saying, “I’m pretty excited about getting to fish a national championship in my home state. The national championship is such a great opportunity. Most college fishing anglers dream of eventually being able to fish professionally, so the chance to compete in the 2021 Toyota Series Championship could be life-changing.”

The Hillcat duo reeled in a five-bass limit totaling 16 pounds, 11 ounces. The July 2020 victory earned the bass fishing team $500 and qualified them to compete in the today’s tournament.

Good luck to you both! We are so proud!
