RSU Baseball Club Announces Spring Schedule

The Rogers State University Baseball Club has announced a spring schedule, which includes seven home dates in Claremore, Pryor, Collinsville, Oologah and Owasso.

Games will begin Saturday with a noon doubleheader in Collinsville against Haskell Indian Nations University.

RSU has established a baseball club in order to provide additional extra-curricular activities for students, promote physical fitness and provide a forum for building teamwork and other interpersonal skills outside the classroom. The club has 27 members who are coached by Ron Bradley, RSU’s physical education director.

The spring slate of games, several of which will be broadcast by RSU communication students on RSU Radio, 91.3 FM, includes:

Feb. 23 at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith, 1 p.m. doubleheader;
Feb. 26 at Labette Community College in Parsons, Kan., 1 p.m. doubleheader;
March 1 at Northeastern (Okla.) State University, Tahlequah, 1 p.m. doubleheader;
March 5 at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, Chickasha, 1 p.m. doubleheader;
March 9 against Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College, Oologah High School field, 3:30 p.m. (RSU Radio, 91.3 FM)
March 11 at Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College, Moore, 1 p.m. doubleheader;
March 17 at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, Miami, 1 p.m.;
March 18 against Washburn University, 10 a.m. (Missouri Southern University tournament at Joplin, Mo.)

Bradley is a member of the Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame. He led four teams to win state baseball championships while at Claremore, Jenks and West Fork (Ark.) high schools. Robert Brown and Wes Vrska are serving as assistant coaches, and Aaron Gentry is serving as a volunteer assistant coach.
