RSU Band, Choir to Perform Dec. 4 Winter Concert

Rogers State University musical groups will be performing their fall concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 4, in the Will Rogers Auditorium on the Claremore campus.

Members of the Jazz Ensemble and the University Choir will perform a variety of pieces during the event, which will be free and open to the public.

Canned food items will be collected at the door benefitting RSU Residential Life’s “Food For Thought,” a food pantry for RSU students who might be having difficulty putting nutritious food on the table.

The University Choir will be performing a selection of works that include “Three New Madrigals,” “Sanctus,” “Benedicamus Domino,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “Wade in the Water” and “Festival Sanctus.”

The RSU Jazz Ensemble is expected to perform a number of holiday classics, including “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” “Sleigh Ride,” “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” “Christmas Time is Here,” “Go Tell It on the Mountain,” “Greensleeves” and “Afternoon.”
