Rogers State University has announced the hiring of four new faculty members for the fall 2004 semester.
New faculty are: Bryce Brimer, assistant professor, Department of Communications and Fine Arts; Diana Reynolds Clayton, assistant professor, Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences; Kimberly M. Graham, instructor, Department of Health Sciences; and Dr. Jae-Ho Kim, assistant professor, Department of Mathematics and Sciences.
The new hires recently were approved by the University of Oklahoma Board of Regents, RSU’s governing board. In all, 22 new faculty have been hired to begin teaching during the fall semester.
Brimer is an award-winning artist who works in a variety of media including painting, ceramics, wood and metal sculpture, furniture design, printmaking, photography, computer graphics and web design. He previously taught art and graphic design at the University of Tulsa and Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and participated in a graphic design practicum at Oklahoma State University-Okmulgee. He received a master’s degree in sculpture from the University of Tulsa and a bachelor’s degree in education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
Clayton has significant legal and prosecutorial experience, including service with the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office and district attorney’s offices in Tulsa, LeFlore and Sequoyah counties. She also has extensive experience in finance where she worked for the City of Tulsa as treasury division manager, policy development specialist, and budget analyst. She previously served as an adjunct professor in the criminal justice program at Carl Albert State College in Poteau, Okla. She received her law degree with a Native American law certificate, master’s degree in business administration, and bachelor’s degree in health sciences-biology/chemistry, all from the University of Tulsa.
Graham has worked as a registered nurse at St. Francis Hospital in its radiology department, adult intensive care unit, and cardiac intensive care unit. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Oklahoma Wesleyan University and an associate’s degree in nursing from RSU. She currently is working toward her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Tulsa.
Jae-Ho Kim received a doctoral degree in genetics from South Dakota State University, a master’s degree in theology from Hapdong Theological Seminary in Korea, a master’s degree in animal physiology from Korea University and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Hannam University in Korea. He also completed post-doctoral research in molecular biology at the Medical University of South Carolina. His previously served as an associate professor at Sterling (Kan.) College. His areas of teaching interest include microbiology, immunology, cell and molecular biology, human anatomy, physiology, genetics and animal science. He has published and presented on a variety of topics in microbiology and animal science. He also has been ordained as a Presbyterian minister serving in various roles for churches in South Dakota, New York and Korea.
