Rogers State University’s commencement ceremonies have been scheduled for Saturday, May 7 at the Claremore Expo Center.

The morning ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. and will host graduates with last names beginning with A through L. The afternoon ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. and will host graduates with last names beginning with M through Z. Students graduating in the upcoming commencement ceremonies are encouraged to attend the Commencement Countdown event, which will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, March 24 in the Dr. Carolyn Taylor Center Rotunda.

This come-and-go event is designed to provide associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degree candidates the opportunity to purchase commencement supplies, including cap and gown, invitations and more. Various campus departments and vendors will be on hand to share relevant information with graduates.

The university will be allotting eight tickets to each qualified graduate. The tickets, which are free, provide admission to the Claremore Expo Center for family and friends attending the ceremonies. Participating graduates will not require a ticket. Children two years old and under who will sit on their parent’s lap also do not require tickets. Tickets will not be required to attend the honors receptions and the nurses’ pinning ceremony, which will be held separately.

The ticket distribution for both ceremonies will begin on Monday, April 11. Tickets will be available Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the front desk of Meyer Hall on the Claremore campus and at the main desks of the Bartlesville and Pryor campuses. Each graduate may receive up to eight commencement tickets. Students will need their RSU student ID to claim their ticket allotment.

Students who are unable to pick up tickets in person should contact Julia Poole at [email protected] or call 918-343-7615.

Students will have until April 22 to claim their allotment before unclaimed tickets are redistributed among students needing additional seats. The unclaimed tickets will be available beginning Monday, April 25 through Friday, May 6. They will be distributed from 9: 30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the front desk of Meyer Hall on the Claremore campus on a first come, first served basis.

The university will provide a livestream of both commencement ceremonies for those unable to attend in person.

Further details regarding commencement will be announced as they become available.
