The Innovation Center at Rogers State University has announced The Driven Design as a new client.
Operated by David Moore, The Driven Design is a start-up company that builds custom websites and provides online marketing and social media management services to small businesses.
“The Innovation Center provides start-up companies with assistance and resources to help smooth the path from business concept to profitability,” said Dr. Ray Brown, RSU vice president for economic and community development.
“For our incubator, we are targeting technology-based start-up companies that would be a good fit with the university’s academic strengths, and that also have a strong opportunity for growth. The Driven Design is an excellent fit within that profile, and we’re glad to welcome David and his team into the Innovation Center.”
The Driven Design not only provides up-to-date websites for businesses and organizations, they also provide tips for effective online marketing strategies.
“If businesses want to be competitive, they have to maintain an online presence. In fact, according to Yahoo, 89 percent of consumers conduct online research prior to making a purchase,” Moore said.
With more than 20 years of experience, Moore understands the challenges small businesses face today. He and his team work with small businesses in northeast Oklahoma who expect the passion they’ve put into their business to be reflected in their website design and internet marketing efforts.
Moore praised the Innovation Center staff as invaluable to his start-up process by helping him develop a comprehensive business plan and building his contacts in the area.
Benefits of the incubator program include reduced overhead through a graduated rent schedule, substantial state income tax breaks, close links to the university’s academic resources and professional, on-site business assistance. According to Brown, “studies have shown that companies developed through incubator programs have a much higher success rate than other enterprises.”
