The only locally produced jazz program on the radio in northeast Oklahoma will debut on Saturday, April 3, on RSU Radio 91.3 FM.
“All That Jazz with Chuck Cissel” will air from 3-6 p.m. each Saturday on RSU Radio, broadcasting from the campus of Rogers State University in Claremore.
The program will feature classic jazz, contemporary jazz and recordings by jazz performers from Oklahoma.
Cissel, who is the executive director of the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame in Tulsa and an entertainer himself, will draw from his own well-stocked jazz collection, as well as the recording library of the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame. Cissel also plans to play recordings by performers participating in the new Spring Jazz Concert Series, which begins this year at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame.
As a vocalist, Cissel has recorded music on the Arista Records label, performed with Broadway musical productions and appeared on several television commercials. He often performs as a jazz vocalist in the Tulsa area.
