Starting in January, Rogers State University Pryor will offer a Leadership Advancement Program designed to help area businesses prepare employees for supervisory positions and to help individuals prepare for careers in supervisory positions.
Enrolling now for the spring semester, the program includes five courses selected to help develop and hone essential business skills needed for supervisors.
The classes include microcomputer applications, introduction to business, speech, accounting and organizational leading and managing. The courses will be offered in an eight-week, accelerated format at the RSU Pryor campus, located in the MidAmerica Industrial Park.
The accelerated format allows for completion of the leadership program in one year. Each successfully completed class counts as three hours of college credit. A certificate of completion will be presented to students who pass all five courses.
The program was developed in partnership with American Castings, a leading employer in the industrial park.
While the program was developed on behalf of the company, the leadership program is open to all area businesses and individuals interested in documenting their business competencies and earning college credit.
