Registration is now open for Hillcamp 2025, coming August. 13-16. Hillcamp is a premier student orientation event for new RSU students.
Registration is now open for Rogers State University’s premier student orientation event, Hillcamp.
Scheduled for Aug. 13-16, Hillcamp is a four-day event for new students, held on the university’s Claremore campus.
This annual event helps incoming RSU freshmen, transfer students, and other first-time students to get ready for their college experience by educating and equipping them to have a successful experience on the Hill.
During the week, attendees – or “Hillcampers” – split into groups of around 10 and are paired with two or more RSU upperclassmen for the duration of the camp, creating a unique opportunity that allows new students to bond with current students and foster a mentor/mentee relationship.
Other benefits of attending Hillcamp include an early move-in for students to live on campus in the fall semester, establishing important connections with members of RSU faculty and staff, cultivating a strong sense of school spirit, learning about expectations of academic and social life on campus, learning one’s way around campus, learning about different activities and organizations on campus and within the Claremore community, and more.
Further, there are several fun activities during camp, such as lip-sync battles, cardboard boat races, late-night scavenger hunts, trivia battles, water games and more.
The cost of attending Hillcamp is $80, which covers meals, a Hillcamp t-shirt, activity equipment, printed materials and resources, and an optional bus service to off-campus events.
Hillcamp 2025 leads into the beginning of the fall 2025 semester, with the first day of classes on Monday, Aug. 18.
Move-in for Hillcamp attendees will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13.
Hillcamp 2025 has a limited number of spots available, so early registration is strongly encouraged.
