The deadline to register for this year’s Hillcamp student orientation event is fast-approaching, with registration set to close July 15.
Scheduled for Aug. 9-12, Hillcamp 2023 is a four-day orientation for new students held on Rogers State University’s Claremore campus.
This annual event is designed to help incoming freshmen and other first-time students prepare for their college experience through educating and equipping them to have an enjoyable and successful experience at RSU.
“Attending Hillcamp helps students make a smooth and successful transition from high school to college,” said Katie Anderson, student activities coordinator, “and for students transferring (to RSU) from another college, Hillcamp will help them to transition seamlessly to university life on the Hill.”
The cost to attend Hillcamp is $70, which includes meals, a t-shirt, activity equipment, printed resources and an optional bus service to off-campus events.
Hillcamp 2023 is scheduled to lead up to the beginning of the fall semester, with the first day of class happening Monday, Aug. 14.
Move-in for Hillcamp attendees will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9.
Hillcamp 2023 is limited to 200 attendees, but spots are still available, so early registration is encouraged.
