RSU’s academic advisors help guide students through their educational journey, ensuring they’re on track to earn the degree they want and working with them to overcome the challenges they might face.

Academic advisors like Skylar Crisenbery.

Originally from Coloma, Michigan, Crisenbery is new to Oklahoma but is excited about the opportunity to facilitate the Rogers State University experience for students.

“My education in sport psychology, along with my passion for supporting students in achieving their goals, led me to explore academic advising,” she said. “After recently moving to Tulsa from Michigan, I found this opportunity and knew it was the perfect fit to continue helping students navigate their academic and personal journeys.

“This is my first time ever being in Oklahoma, and now I get to call it home,” she said. “I’m excited to start this new chapter and explore everything it has to offer.”

A relatively new member of the Hillcat community, Crisenbery said she was struck at how warmly she’s been received by students, faculty, and staff.

“Although still new to RSU, I’ve loved how welcoming everyone has been since I stepped on campus,” she said. “I’m looking forward to building connections with the students and staff and being part of the community here.”

In her free time, Crisenbery enjoys reading, going on long walks, “anything softball related,” and spending time with family and friends. RSU students may schedule an advising appointment with their academic advisor to enroll in courses.
