Faux Beauty Pageant to Showcase Students, Feed the Hungry

Rogers State University will once again play host to “Fairest on the Hill,” a faux beauty pageant that collects donations for Meals on Wheels.

The annual event is scheduled for 7 p.m. on October 7 in the Will Rogers Auditorium on RSU’s Claremore campus.

Admission is two canned food items.

“Fairest on the Hill” is designed to bring laughter to the crowd while contestants strut their stuff in four different categories: introduction, formal wear, talent and questionnaire.

The friendly competition is open to any student who would like to represent his or her organization, team or department with hopes of winning prizes and the title of Fairest on the Hill.

Jarred Warren represented Residential Life and was crowned “Fairest of Them All” in 2013. Warren graduated in 2014 and is disappointed that he can’t defend his crown but looks forward to passing it on to this year’s champion.

“Competition will be fierce again this year with several students already signed up,” said President’s Leadership Class President Austin Jobes. “We will have candidates from Men’s Basketball, Men’s Soccer, Student Theater Organization, PLC, Honors, Alpha Sigma Alpha, Alpha Sigma Tau, and once again the RA’s representing Residential Life.”
