‘Destination RSU’ on Saturday, Oct. 9

RSU To Offer Free Event on College Life For High School Students and Parents

High school junior and seniors and their parents can learn about college life at Rogers State University’s “Destination RSU: College Day 2004” on Saturday, October 9.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon at RSU’s main campus in Claremore.

“This special event is designed to help students and parents in making important decisions about attending college and taking advantage of the wide variety of scholarship and financial aid opportunities available at RSU,” said Becky Noah, RSU Director of Enrollment Management.

“Destination RSU” will begin with registration and a free continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. in the Health Sciences Building.

RSU President Dr. Joe Wiley will address high school students, their parents and their families at 9 a.m.

“Destination RSU” will feature breakout sessions for students and parents in which they will meet RSU deans and faculty members, receive guided tours of the campus and learn more about college life.

Participants also will have the opportunity to learn more about admission procedures, availability of scholarships and other financial aid and the wide variety of student activities and services available at RSU.

In addition, a free cookout lunch will be held at the RSU Student Apartments for all students and their families.
