Rogers State University alumni, faculty and staff recently joined members of the community for some friendly competition during the inaugural Bowling for Scholarships event.
Bowling for Scholarships, a fundraising event for the RSU Alumni Association, was held on Aug. 11 at The Lanes at Coffee Creek Bowling Center in Owasso. An estimated 80 people attended the event.
Each team of five people received two rounds of bowling, an event t-shirt and dinner. The team for RCI Insurance earned first place trophies for the highest overall score, and the RSU Athletics team earned a Golden Pin for being the highest scoring department.
Presenting sponsors of the event included RCI Insurance, Community Home Health, Grand Bank and Beggs Properties.
Several university departments competed in the event, including Athletics, Academic Affairs, the President’s Office, Enrollment Management, RSU Pryor Campus and the RSU Foundation.
All proceeds from the event will provide scholarships for deserving RSU students.
