The LPN/Paramedic (NREMT) Bridge entry facilitates the transition to RN by offering students the opportunity to earn advanced standing credit for up to 20 credit hours of nursing program course work.
Students are required to pass equivalency nursing examination for advanced standing. If prerequisite courses are completed and admission criteria is met, LPN/Paramedic (NREMT) students enter the program at year three, second semester and follow the same curricular path as the Traditional BSN students for the remainder of the program.
Upon completion, graduates are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for RNs (NCLEX-RN).
- Applications for Bridge entry are accepted June 1 thru October 1.
- The Bridge cohort begins classes in January.
- Admission Requirements 1-6 (above) must be met.
- Bridge applicants required to take standardized placement test and meet a predetermined cut-score.
