Rogers State University is hosting an April 16 event to help RSU students learn more about career opportunities with employers at the MidAmerica Industrial Park.
The MidAmerica Industry Pathways Showcase is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the RSU Pryor campus, located at 2155 Highway 69A in the industrial park. The event, which is free and open to all RSU students, will feature free food and door prizes for participants.
Located in Mayes County, MidAmerica is one of the nation’s largest industrial parks and a leading center for manufacturing, processing and distribution. The park is home to companies that range from small operations to Fortune 500 giants like Google, Chevron and DuPont.
With the increasing sophistication of manufacturing operations, many jobs at the MidAmerica Industrial Park require a college degree, which puts RSU graduates in high demand. During the event, students can:
- Learn about local industries in the MidAmerica Industrial Park
- Network with industry employers
- Explore career pathways
- Identify internship opportunities
