This Drone Pilot micro-credential is designed to meet the needs of aspiring professional drone pilots and hobbyists alike. RSU is part of the FAA’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems Collegiate Training Initiative (UAS-CTI). This is a new program designed for universities, colleges, and technical schools by the FAA to recognize institutions that prepare students for careers in UAS or drones and RSU is proud to have been accepted into the UAS-CTI. Completers are prepared to take the FAA aeronautical knowledge test: “Unmanned Aircraft General – Small (UAG)” under 14 CFR Part 107 Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems. The curriculum also includes Part 107 Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) initial – Part 61 pilots training.
