Are you the kind of person who gets excited about gadgets, computers, and solving big problems with smart tech? Then welcome to your future. The Bachelor of Technology in Applied Technology at RSU is your launchpad to high-powered careers in information security, unmanned aircraft systems, and IT leadership. Whether you’re encrypting data or 3D-printing drones, this program is all about learning by doing.

Our program is intentionally flexible. You can attend classes on campus or complete your degree online—perfect for working professionals or students with jam-packed schedules. And with four career-ready options, you can choose the path that matches your interests: Cybersecurity, Unmanned Aircraft Systems, National Security for IT, or the general Applied Technology track.

Your journey begins with foundational courses in microcomputing, leadership, and law. From there, you’ll dive into a concentration of your choice:

Applied Technology Option

Ideal for students with an AAS or military experience who want to level up their careers.

Cybersecurity & Information Assurance Option ❖

Learn to protect data and build secure systems following DHS cybersecurity standards.

Unmanned Aircraft Systems Option

Design, build, and fly drones—plus get ready for the FAA Part 107 Pilot’s License exam.

National Security for IT Option

Prepare for a career in national defense with direct ties to the NSA. Fully online option available!
