All the Ways to Give Back to RSU

You may provide support for Rogers State University students through several different giving methods that provide tax or estate planning benefits. The RSU Foundation welcomes the opportunity to work with donors, their attorneys, or tax advisors. A gift of cash or a pledge over a period of years is the most direct way to support the university.

Jack and Mary Lee Spinks

Jack and Mary Lee Spinks recently established an RSU student scholarship endowment that honors the legacy of her father, Col. Lee Gilstrap who received the OMA Alumni Association’s President’s Award.

The Colonel Lee F. and Doris Hays Gilstrap “Reaching Greater Potential” Endowment will support student scholarships for deserving Rogers State University students who have faced challenges but have the potential to overcome their circumstances and reach their potential in academics as well as personal lives.

Jack and Mary Lee established the scholarship to honor her parents’ longtime affiliation with OMA, including Col. Gilstrap’s service as commandant, athletic director, coach, and teacher. Memories of her family’s time at OMA were influential to Mary Lee and helped impress upon her the power of education to help transform lives. Jack and Mary Lee said this scholarship endowment help ensure that her parents’ legacy – and that of OMA — will continue for generations to come.

AnthonyTucker 2012Graduate

Thanks to my unrivaled student experience at RSU, including a life-altering senior year internship, I’ve been able to hold senior director positions across multiple industries, earn a Master’s in Leadership, and run for Oklahoma State Representative. None of this would have been possible without the grace, mentorship, and educational pedigree of the faculty, staff, and university partners at RSU. No matter the arena, from the boardroom to the classroom and everywhere in between, I’m proud to say that I’m a Hillcat.
