RSU Names 2014 Homecoming King and Queen

RSU President Dr. Larry Rice and First Lady Peggy Rice crown the 2014 RSU Homecoming King and Queen Wesley Ball and Devin Stokes

Rogers State University crowned a new King and Queen during Homecoming festivities Saturday, November 22 at the Claremore Expo Center.

Wesley Ball was selected as Homecoming King and Devin Stokes was crowned the 2014 Homecoming Queen. Their selection was announced by RSU President Dr. Larry Rice and his wife, First Lady Peggy Rice, during halftime of the Hillcats men’s basketball game against Arlington Baptist College.

Ball, a nursing major from Pryor, is an active member of the Student Nurses Association and was on the President’s Honor Roll. Ball has also volunteered his time as a “Relay for Life” team captain for two years.

Stokes, a corporate communications major from Owasso, is part of the President’s Leadership Class at RSU and is a student-athlete on the Hillcat Women’s soccer team. Stokes has volunteered at the local Claremore Chili Festival, KIPP Day, MLK Day of Service, RSU’s Got Talent, Destination RSU, Fairest on the Hill, and many other events held on and off campus.

Other Homecoming King candidates were Elisha “Bubba” Enlow of Jay and Jason Couch of Chouteau. Other Homecoming Queen candidates were Jessica Allen of Verdigris and Jordan Unger of Stilwell.
