RSU Athletics Launches New Website

The Rogers State University athletic department has unveiled its news athletics website. RSUHILLCATS.COM will serve as the new online home for Hillcat sports on the World Wide Web.

“We are very excited about the launch of RSUHILLCATS.COM,” Athletic Director Wren Baker said. “A website designed specifically for athletics will be a tremendous tool in recruiting student-athletes to RSU and will keep our fans better informed.”

The new site features the latest news in Hillcat sports including press releases, scores and information on upcoming competitions. Perspective student athletes can get information about RSU athletic facilities, camps, athletic training and even fill out a recruiting questionnaire.

RSUHILLCATS.COM should see heavy traffic from the RSU fan base as well. The website features a “Hillcat Fan Poll” on the homepage as well as information about joining the Hillcat booster club and becoming a corporate sponsor. Followers of the Hillcats can read in-depth bios of student-athletes, browse the latest headlines and check out box scores and up-to-date season statistics of their favorite team. Live webcasts and stat trackers will be available for basketball games and a composite schedule, listing every athletic event for the 2007-08 academic year, is only a click away.

“We hope that parents and fans of RSU athletics will frequent the new website and take advantage of the opportunity to become more involved with the program,” Baker added.

Fans will also want to check out the “Join Mailing List” feature which allows them the opportunity to sign up to have the latest news about the Hillcats sent directly to their email.

The website was designed and developed by Scott McCain of Major Program with the help of RSU Sports Information Director Ryan Bradley. McCain’s company, athleticsite.com, specializes in developing athletic websites for small college programs.

“RSUHILLCATS.COM is a big step forward for RSU athletics,” Bradley said. “Scott has designed an outstanding website that will allow us to keep fans informed and engaged on the latest happenings in Hillcat athletics.”

Although a great deal of information is already available on the site, Bradley will continue to add content to many aspects of the site in the coming months. For the latest information on RSU athletics visit www.rsuhillcats.com.
