March is Red Cross Month in Claremore and at RSU

The American Red Cross Chapter of Rogers State University is celebrating Red Cross Month with several on and off campus activities in March.

On Tuesday, March 7, an American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Student Union. Complimentary t-shirts, food and beverages will be provided for all donors.

On Thursday, March 9, the American Red Cross Chapter of RSU will take part in “KOTV’s Wild, Wild Weather Show,” scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Claremore Expo Center.

The RSU chapter will be present to promote the important community service provided by RSU and the American Red Cross in the greater Claremore area. The American Red Cross Chapter of RSU will also appear with host Jim Giles on the “News on 6” during the 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. broadcasts.

The public is invited to attend this free weather show and to bring a donation of canned or non-perishable food benefiting a local food pantry. Several “News on 6” anchors will also be on hand to visit with the crowd before and after the show. The show will also feature “Mad Science,” an entertaining and educational science program for the kids beginning at 6:30 p.m.
