The Department of Fine Arts will open its Spring 2014 Juried Student Art Show tonight in the Foundations Gallery in Baird Hall.
The kickoff event will begin with a 5 p.m. reception. The awards presentation will be held at 6 p.m. for Best in Show and the top three student winners, who will each receive fee waivers.
Three scholarship awards also will be presented to students who will be traveling to Montone, Italy, this summer as part of the university’s studies-at-large program.
The art show will showcase the works of students in a variety of media and artistic styles. Students featured in the show include: Kolby Anderson, Spencer Barrett, Rebecca Burr, Gretchen Chaffin, Ashley Cody, Courtney Fisk, Alex Horner, Jeffery Longa, Athena Ruffin, Isaac Scott, Tiffany Smith, Cecilia Villalobos, Hannah Westlund and Erico Zetina.
The Foundations Gallery is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The art show will be available for public viewing through Friday, April 4.
