Free Event For High School Students and Parents Offers Preview of RSU Student Life

High school juniors and seniors and their parents will learn more about college life during Rogers State University’s “Destination RSU: College Day 2012” on Saturday, October 13.

The event, which is free of charge, will begin at 9 a.m. in the Ballroom of the Centennial Center on RSU’s Claremore Campus.

“This special event is designed to help students and parents make important decisions about attending college. Guests also will learn more about the wide variety of scholarships and financial aid opportunities available at RSU,” said Joy Lin Husted, RSU director of admissions.

“Destination RSU” will feature breakout sessions featuring RSU faculty members and current RSU students. Along with these sessions, attendees will receive guided tours of the campus and learn more about college life.

Participants also will have the opportunity to learn more about admission procedures, availability of scholarships and other financial aid, housing, academic programs and the wide variety of student activities and services available at RSU.

All attending students will be eligible for a drawing for partial tuition waiver scholarships and other prizes.
