Artist registration remains open until Sept. 17 for the upcoming Art on the Hill art show and sale at Rogers State University.
The art show and sale, to be held Sept. 28-29 at the Claremore campus, showcases works of noted Oklahoma artists and cultivates student talents throughout northeastern Oklahoma. The event is also open to area artists, and the artist participation fee is $50.
Art on the Hill will feature tented venues on the campus lawn to offer visitors an opportunity to stroll through the art exhibits, experience live art demonstrations, witness theatre productions, participate in children’s activities and enjoy music provided by guest musicians, the RSU Music Department, and other area ensembles. The two-day event will be free and open to the public.
Event proceeds help fund scholarships for area art students.
Art on the Hill also will feature works from artists from area elementary, junior high or high schools. Teachers or parents may complete the entry forms online. There will be no cost for young artists to display their work, which will not be part of the sale.
