B.T. in Applied Technology:
Unmanned Aircraft Systems
The Unmanned Aircraft Systems option provides the technological skills to design, build (3D print), and fly a UAV as well as provide required knowledge to take the FAAPart 107 Pilot’s License Examination. This option additionally provides the education required of one to start and run and independent business (UAS services).
The Unmanned Aircraft Systems degree option comes alongside the annual AeroGames Competition. The drone building and piloting competition for junior high and high school students throughout northeast Oklahoma is hosted by Rogers State University, sponsored by MidAmerica Industrial Park and powered by Google. For the past seven years RSU capstone students in Applied Technology program, known as the AeroCats, have mentored the junior high and high school students as they build and pilot their aircraft.
