The CARES Grant application is available on MyRSU under the navigation tab labeled, “Student”.

Rogers State University was approved to receive $2,586,804.00 under the CARES Act, of which $1,293,402.00, or 50%, will be used to provide Grants to students. The University will continue to accept applications as long as funds are available.

Rogers State University asked students who were affected by the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus to complete an application on the MyRSU student portal. The application asked for identifying information and gave the student the option of checking from one to eight boxes identifying the nature of the expense incurred: housing, course related, food, technology, transportation, childcare, healthcare, and other. The responses were analyzed, and award amounts were set as follows:

  • Housing $500
  • Course Related $600
  • Food $600
  • Technology $750
  • Transportation $150
  • Childcare $150
  • Healthcare $150
  • Other $150

For each box checked, the eligible applicant received an award for the related amount. However, no eligible applicant received less than $500.
